Bog Goblins MCC Rally
The day started off well, the weather was dry and bright, our moods were pretty much the same a 250 (approx) mile ride ahead of us and all the time to do it in. The ride down to Newry was perfect not one hiccup after some refreshments at McDonalds and a chat to a friendly biker from Dundalk we headed off again. Unfortunately we only made it to the junction past Balbriggan before my riding buddys bike died on Hearse road, I think there was a bit of a coincidence there lol. After a bit of diagnoses at the garage ie the bike wouldnt start and after testing the battery voltage and the rectifier voltage and since these showed they had died, we charged the battery from my bike (yes we had jump leads a voltage monitor and tools, you should never leave home without them) Anyway it was decided that we should try and limp home. It was a race home as the lights were turned off to save battery power we had to chase the fading daylight, that plus our disappointment added to the darkness. We got home shortly before 9 cold and tired.
I contacted the Bog Goblins to apologise for not turning up and asked them to send us a few lines on the rock nite and some pics. There are no pics at the minute but they sent us a few lines. It is good to hear that they raised a good sum and that everyone had a great night.

It was a great night. Great craic was had by all. We are only up and running just over 2 months so was a great achievement for us. We raised €700 for Michael O' Dowd. Michael and his family had a great night. Michael rocked it, even though is he confirmed to a wheelchair.
Thank you for your support - much appreciated
