End Of The Line MCC Rally 09
Sorry we didn't get any photos but it looked like everyone was having a good night especially with the tug-of-war, we spent most of the night hanging around outside as usual talking rubbish. Was great to catch up with some old friends who we hadn't seen in a while. A few of us were looking forward to this rally all year, since it was in Belfast we could roll home drunk and wake up in our own beds and die all morning without having to get up and pack the tent away and somehow find our way home. The rally site was fantastic, secure hard parking and plenty of room for camping. Unfortunately I didn’t see the belly dancing but heard that it was pretty good, after all I see my belly dancing every morning as I’m trying to get dress so it wasn’t necessary for me to move off my comfy chair. The band was ok, they played all the old rock favourites but with the weather being so good most people stayed outside drinking and enjoying the craic. One major problem was that the food stopped around 11pm and they had run out of chips by 9.30pm so if you didn’t like sausages or burgers it was tough luck. All in all the rally was pretty good but we found being asked for £2 each to join in the tug of war as major turn off.
Thanks to the EOTL for a well organised rally, was nice just being five minutes from home for a change.
