Hospice Charity Ride Out
It was the best day of the year so far so the big dilemma was do I wear my fleece or not as there was nothing stopping me from doing the Quay Viper run. After meeting Papa Smurf we headed to the Carrick castle car park for 12.30. This year the pay in area went nice and smooth so no major hold ups this year. The car park was almost filled to capacity so after searching for a parking spot we had a quick look at the bikes on show all nice and gleaming (well apart from mine). There was quite a line of hungry soles at the burger van but by the time I fought my way there it was time to go. Plenty of all the usual suspects were out which was good to see. Being lazy buggars we decided to wait until the end to join the run, I’m glad we did it was a really impressive sight to see all the bikes and trikes pass by. What more can I say except we then headed home without doing the run but to be honest it was such a nice day we just wanted to go for a good long run. We was saddened to hear of the accident on the run and the other accident that morning and the tradgic deaths of the two riders. The Ancestors thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends at this time.
